Slow Cooked Beef Roast

Total Time: 5 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 5 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 5 lbs beef roast
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 4 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
  • 2 cups tomato juice
  • 1 lb carrot, cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 3 stalks sliced celery
  • 2 medium sliced onions
  • 8 small potatoes, peeled and cubed

Recipe

  • 1 grease roasting pan lightly.
  • 2 mix ingredients for sauce.
  • 3 place roast into roasting pan.
  • 4 cut vegetables into individual servings.
  • 5 pour sauce over beef and vegetables.
  • 6 cover tightly and don't peek.
  • 7 bake in a 250 degree oven for 5 hours.
