Slow Cooked Short Ribs

Ingredients

- 2/3 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 4 lbs boneless beef short ribs
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup apple vinegar
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup chili sauce
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1/2 cup corn syrup
Recipe
- 1 combine flour, salt and pepper. coat ribs with flour mixture.
- 2 in large skillet, brown ribs on all sides in butter. transfer to slow cooker.
- 3 in same skillet, combine beef broth, onion, brown sugar, vinegar, ketchup, worcestershire sauce, chili sauce, garlic, chili powder and corn syrup. mix well. heat to boiling.
- 4 pour over ribs. cover and cook on low 9-10 hours.
- 5 remove from slow cooker and allow to cool. place in freezer bag. label and freeze.
- 6 to serve: thaw. heat until hot and bubbly.
