Sloppy Joes

Total Time: 20 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 5
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 3 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 5 hamburger buns, toasted

Recipe

  • 1 brown ground chuck and onion in a large nonstick skillet, stirring until meat crumbles; drain.
  • 2 stir in ketchup and next 5 ingredients.
  • 3 bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • 4 spoon meat mixture over bottom halves of buns; top with remaining halves.

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (or other oil)
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup celery, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 1/4 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 1/4 cups butternut squash, pureed
  • 1 carrot, finely chopped
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional...i actually use xylitol)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 8 hamburger buns (i used sandwich thins)

Recipe

  • 1 heat the oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
  • 2 add the onion, celery, and garlic and cook until softened.
  • 3 add the turkey and break up into small pieces, stirring until no longer pink.
  • 4 add the squash puree and carrot.
  • 5 add the broth and stir.
  • 6 add the tomato paste, worcestershire, chili powder, xylitol, salt, and pepper.
  • 7 cover and cook over medium heat until carrots are cooked and flavors are blended. if mixture has too much liquid in it, just cook with the cover off for a few minutes to thicken.
  • 8 serve on sandwich thins with fixings such as sliced onion, relish, ketchup, and tomato.
  • 9 i had this for dinner tonight with strawberries and a zero point cucumber salad, so had a nice dinner for 7 points.

  • 1 brown meat. pour off excess fat.
  • 2 add 1 cup water and rest of ingredients.
  • 3 bring to boil. cover and simmer 4-5 minutes serve hot on toast or buns.

Sloppy Joe Sandwich 4-1

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 3 ounces lean ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon onion, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
  • 1/8 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 1 hambuger bun

Recipe

  • 1 place ground beef in a microwave-safe container and break up beef with a fork.
  • 2 cook for 1 minute, in a 700-watt microwave oven (adjust time to your microwave).
  • 3 if beef is still pink just stir until color is gone (you don't want to over cook your meat).
  • 4 add onion, ketchup, mustard, chili powder, worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper; mix well.
  • 5 cover container with a paper plate so steam can escape and microwave for 1 minute.
  • 6 fill bun with meat mixture and enjoy.
  • 7 garnish with dill pickles.

Sloppy Joe Pasta Skillet Dinner

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 6 ounces pasta (uncooked)
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 cup sloppy joe meat
  • 1 cup frozen corn, thawed
  • 10 ounces diced tomatoes and green chilies (i used a regular sized can of ro-tel)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mexican blend cheese (divided)

Recipe

  • 1 in a 10 inch non-stick skillet over medium heat add water.
  • 2 when water reaches boiling point add pasta,and cook until desired doneness is reached.(i cook mine al dente').
  • 3 drain and return to skillet.
  • 4 add meat,rotel, corn and 1 cup of cheese.
  • 5 stirring until meat is heated through and cheese is melted.
  • 6 sprinkle remaining cheese on top and serve.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 3/4 cup frozen corn kernels, defrosted
  • 1/4 cup prepared barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onion (scallions)
  • 1 large italian bread or 1 large pizza dough (12")
  • 1 1/2 cups grated colby-monterey jack cheese

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 425.
  • 2 in large non-stick skillet brown beef, stirring occasionally.
  • 3 (about 8-10 minutes) drain off fat.
  • 4 to beef, add corn, barbecue sauce, and green onions.
  • 5 (if desired, stir in 1/2 tsp salt too) heat through.
  • 6 place bread shell or pizza crust on baking sheet.
  • 7 spoon beef mixture evenly over crust; sprinkle with cheese.
  • 8 bake 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.

  • place in greased pie plate or spoon or pipe parchment-lined baking sheets.
  • place in preheated oven and turn oven off. leave meringue in unopened oven 8 hours or overnight. to serve, place meringue on serving platter and arrange peaches on top.

  • 1 cook noodles according to pkg directions. drain set aside. in lg saucepan cook beef until no longer pink, drain fat. add cans of mamwich mix well. spary baking dish with nonstick spary. pour noodles in baking dish and pour meatsauce over noodles. mix well to combine. top with cheese and bake @ 350 for 30 minutes or until cheese melts and its heated through.

  • 3 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (depending on how spicy you like it)

  • 1 diced onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

Recipe

  • 1 mix lamb, chili powder, cayenne pepper, fennel seed, and dried oregano.
  • 2 brown lamb mixture (if it is lean lamb, add some olive oil to the pan).
  • 3 remove lamb from pan and sauté garlic and onions in about a tablespoon of olive oil (about 2-3 minutes).
  • 4 add lamb mixture to pan and add the rest of the ingredients including tomatoes.
  • 5 simmer 20-30 minutes.

  • 1 preheat oven to 375°f.

  • 10 ounces pillsbury refrigerated biscuits

Recipe

  • 1 prepare the sloppy joes as directed on package.
  • 2 spray a pie plate with no stick spray.
  • 3 separate the rolls and put them in the bottom of the pie plate.
  • 4 pour prepared sloppy joe mixture on top.
  • 5 sprinkle cheese on top.
  • 6 bake according to instructions on biscuit can. remove from oven, slice and serve.

Creamy Earl Grey Rice Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 earl grey tea bag
  • 3/4 cup basmati rice
  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1/4 cup blue agave syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2/3 cup golden raisins
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • combine water and tea bag in a saucepan. bring water to a boil. remove and discard the tea bag. stir rice into boiling water, reduce heat to low, cover the saucepan, and cook until the moisture is absorbed into the rice and the rice is tender, about 20 minutes. transfer the cooked rice to a clean saucepan.
  • pour 1 cup skim milk and agave syrup over the cooked rice; season with kosher salt. place the saucepan over medium heat; cook and stir until the mixture is thick and creamy, 15 to 20 minutes. stir 1/2 cup milk, egg, and raisins into the rice mixture; simmer another 2 minutes while stirring.
  • remove from heat. stir butter and vanilla extract into the rice mixture until the butter melts.

  • 1 (1 ounce) envelope manwich sloppy joe mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
  • 1 (7 ounce) package small shell pasta (cooked)
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350*.
  • 2 in a large sauce pan cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink.
  • 3 stir in sloppy joe mix, water, tomato sauce & tomato paste.
  • 4 bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 5-8 minutes; remove from heat, stir in pasta.
  • 5 spoon half into a greased 2 1/2 quart baking dish;top with cottage cheese then add remaining pasta mixture;sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • 6 bake uncovered 350* for 30-35 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb extra lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 1 (11 ounce) can pillsbury refrigerated crusty french loaf
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350*f. spray cookie sheet and large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. in sprayed skillet combine ground beef and onion; cook until beef is thoroughly cooked, stirring. drain.
  • 2 add tomato sauce, flour and spices. mix well. reduce heat to medium low and simmer 5 minutes. remove from heat.
  • 3 meanwhile, remove dough from can and place on lightly floured surface. cut loaf in half lengthwise. roll each half to form a 16 x 4 inch rectangle. place 1 dough rectangle on sprayed cookie sheet, being careful not to change shape.
  • 4 stir 1/2 cup of the cheese into the gorund beef mixture. spoon and spread mixture over dough rectangle. sprinkle with remaining cheese; top with remaining dough rectangle.
  • 5 bake at 350*f for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
  • 6 cut in slices to serve.
  • 7 note* if you wish you may substitute your own bread dough recipe for the refrigerated dough. this is what i do as i can't get the refrigerated dough over here.

  • 1 1/4 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 -2 garlic clove, minced
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 medium green sweet pepper, chopped
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 8 -10 hamburger buns, toasted if desired

Recipe

  • 1 in large skillet cook ground beef, onion and garlic until meat is brown and onion is tender. drain off fat.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients except hamburger buns. mix well.
  • 3 in a 3 1/2 or 4 quart crockpot, add sloppy joe mix.
  • 4 cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  • 5 spoon into buns.

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 bell pepper, coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 onion, coarsely chopped
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 lb frozen pizza dough, thawed
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • salt
  • pepper

Recipe

  • 1 heat olive oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat.
  • 2 add bell pepper, onion, and pinch of salt and pepper.
  • 3 cook, stirring occasionally, until softened. (about 5 mins).
  • 4 add the turkey and cook over medium high heat until turkey is cooked through.
  • 5 stir in the pizza sauce and worcestershire sauce.
  • 6 season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • 7 let cool completely.
  • 8 preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
  • 9 lightly grease baking sheet with olive oil.
  • 10 divide the dough into quarters.
  • 11 roll out and stretch each piece into an 8 inch round.

  • 4 crusty rolls, split

  • 1 in a deep skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

  • 1 (15 ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated parmigiano-reggiano cheese, or to taste
