Sesame Yam Sticks

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 large yams
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon corn or 1 tablespoon sesame oil

Recipe

  • 1 boil or bake yams until soft but not mushy.
  • 2 let cool or refrigerate overnight.
  • 3 peel and cut yams into pieces about 2” x 1/2” x 1/2”.
  • 4 roll yam sticks in sesame seeds, pressing to make seeds stick.
  • 5 sauté in oil for one minute on each side, drain and cool.
  • 6 serve cool or broil briefly to crisp sticks and serve hot.
