Sour Cherry Cake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 (15 ounce) can sour cherries, well drained

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 grease an 8"x8" square pan.
  • 3 in bowl of a mixer fitted with a whisk, beat together the eggs and sugar until light yellow and fluffy.
  • 4 add margarine and vanilla, stir to combine.
  • 5 mix in cocoa, flour, and baking powder.
  • 6 pour batter into prepared pan.
  • 7 press cherries into the top of the batter.
  • 8 bake for 45 minutes or until set.
