Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons instant coffee crystals
- 2 cups milk
- 1 cup double cream
- 7 eggs
- 8 ounces sugar
- 2 tablespoons caster sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Recipe
- 1 blend eggs, sugar, coffee crystals and vanilla together.
- 2 in a saucepan, bring milk almost to a boil.
- 3 add hot milk to the egg mixture, slowly and stirring constantly. pour into a casserole dish, and place in a bain marie.
- 4 bake at 350f for 1 1/4 hours, until set.
- 5 let cool.
- 6 beat whipping cream and caster sugar together until stiff.
- 7 pipe a border of cream around the edge.
- 8 serve or chill up to 8 hours.
