Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup shortening
- 4 -5 tablespoons ice cold water
Recipe
- 1 stir together flour and salt.
- 2 cut shortening into flour mixture.
- 3 sprinkle one tablespoon water over flour and gently stir with a fork.
- 4 repeat moistening dough using one tablespoon at a time until all the dough is moistened.
- 5 form dough into a ball.
- 6 on a floured surface, slightly flatten dough. roll dough out into a 12-inch circle.
- 7 place dough in a pie tin and fold edges under if necessary to form a 1/2-inch edge.
- 8 crimp edge as desired.
