Sirloin Steak With Dijon- Sauce

Ingredients

- 3 cups uncooked medium egg noodles
- 1 lb trimmed sirloin, about 1 inch thick
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup (or other sweet red )
- 1/4 cup minced shallot
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1/2 cup low sodium beef broth
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leave
Recipe
- 1 cook noodles according to package directions; drain and keep warm.
- 2 meanwhile, heat a nonstick skillet over med-high heat.
- 3 sprinkle both sides of steak with salt and pepper; lightly coat steak with cooking spray.
- 4 add steak to pan; cook 4 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness.
- 5 transfer meat to platter; keep warm.
- 6 add to pan, scraping to loosen browned bits.
- 7 stir in shallots and garlic; cook 45 seconds, stirring often.
- 8 add in beef broth; bring to a boil; cook 20 seconds; remove from heat.

- 10 cut steak diagonally across grain into thin slices.
- 11 serve steak and sauce with noodles.
