Simple Sesames

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 cups shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped almonds

Recipe

  • 1 in large mixer bowl cream butter.
  • 2 gradually add sugar and continue beating until light and fluffy.
  • 3 add flour and mix just until combined.
  • 4 stir in sesame seed, coconut and almonds just until well mixed.
  • 5 divide dough into thirds.
  • 6 place one third on long sheet of wax paper.
  • 7 shape into a long roll 2 inches in diameter.
  • 8 repeat with remaining dough.
  • 9 wrap and refrigerate until firm.
  • 10 preheat oven to 300°f.
  • 11 cut rolls into 1/4-inch slices.
  • 12 bake on ungreased cookie sheets 30 minutes.
  • 13 remove to wire racks to cool.
