Shepherd's Pie

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup oatmeal
  • salt, to taste
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 -3 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules

Recipe

  • 1 in skillet, brown ground beef, drain fat.
  • 2 add onions and cook until tender.
  • 3 add water, bouillon mix, salt and oatmeal.
  • 4 simmer together 10 minutes.
  • 5 layer meat in bottom of casserole or baking dish.
  • 6 top with mashed potatoes, brush with melted butter.
  • 7 sprinkle with paprika.
  • 8 bake at 325°f for 30 minutes.
  • 9 serve with gravy.
