Sherried Broccoli With Almonds

Ingredients

- 2 lbs fresh broccoli
- 1 beef bouillon cube
- 3/4 cup hot water
- 1 cup half-and-half
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons dry
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
Recipe
- 1 cut broccoli into spears, removing tough lower stalks.
- 2 wash well.
- 3 cook in microwave until barely tender (2-3 minutes).
- 4 place in baking dish.
- 5 dissolve bullion in the 3/4 cup hot water.
- 6 stir in half and half and set aside.
- 7 melt butter in saucepan and blend in flour.
- 8 stir until smooth.
- 9 cook and stir 1 min.
- 10 gradually stir in bullion mxiture.
- 11 cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly.
- 12 stir in lemon juice, and pepper.
- 13 pour over broccoli.
- 14 sprinkle with cheese and almonds.
- 15 bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
