- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 drop vanilla
Recipe
- 1 preheat cast iron skillet in at 450 degrees. combine buttermilk, eggs, and baking soda mix well. in a separate bowl, mix cornmeal and salt. add the buttermilk mixture, melted butter, and vanilla. mix well. pour into skillet. bake for 35 minutes, using toothpick to check for doneness.
