Skillet Cornbread No Sugar

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 drop vanilla

Recipe

  • 1 preheat cast iron skillet in at 450 degrees. combine buttermilk, eggs, and baking soda mix well. in a separate bowl, mix cornmeal and salt. add the buttermilk mixture, melted butter, and vanilla. mix well. pour into skillet. bake for 35 minutes, using toothpick to check for doneness.
