Sloppy Joes - Vegetarian

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 medium green peppers, diced
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 1/2 cups boiling water
  • 2 1/2 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 -2 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • salt
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups dry textured vegetable protein

Recipe

  • 1 saute the onion and green pepper in 3 tbsp of oil until tender.
  • 2 add all the other ingredients.
  • 3 simmer together for 20 minutes and serve hot over split hamburger buns.
