Sauteed Brussels Sprouts

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb brussels sprout, cleaned, cut in half stem to top, thinly sliced cross wise
  • 4 shallots, halved and thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 in medium skillet over medium high heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
  • 2 saute the onions until softened.
  • 3 season with salt and pepper.
  • 4 add the vinegar and sugar.
  • 5 mix until sugar has dissolved.
  • 6 remove to bowl and set aside.
  • 7 add another 1 tablespoons butter to the pan.
  • 8 saute the brussels sprouts for 5 minutes. season with salt and pepper.
  • 9 add the water, 1 tablespoons butter and cook, uncovered, until done.
  • 10 toss with the onions and heat through.
