Sauteed Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
- Servings: 2
- 1 lb brussels sprout, cleaned, cut in half stem to top, thinly sliced cross wise
- 4 shallots, halved and thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- salt and pepper, to taste
Recipe
- 1 in medium skillet over medium high heat, melt 2 tablespoons butter.
- 2 saute the onions until softened.
- 3 season with salt and pepper.
- 4 add the vinegar and sugar.
- 5 mix until sugar has dissolved.
- 6 remove to bowl and set aside.
- 7 add another 1 tablespoons butter to the pan.
- 8 saute the brussels sprouts for 5 minutes. season with salt and pepper.
- 9 add the water, 1 tablespoons butter and cook, uncovered, until done.
- 10 toss with the onions and heat through.
