Sloppy Bows

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 3 quarts boiling water
  • 1 (10 ounce) package bow tie pasta
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can tomato soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 8 ounces shredded cheese

Recipe

  • 1 brown beef and onions in hot skillet; drain grease.
  • 2 cook noodles in boiling water for 10 minutes; drain and set aside.
  • 3 combine soup, water, chili powder, brown sugar, dry mustard, and vinegar. stir into cooked meat.
  • 4 add drained noodles to meat mixture, stirring gently to avoid tearing noodles.
  • 5 spoon beef-noodle mixture into a 9 x 13" baking pan. sprinkle cheese over top.
  • 6 bake, uncovered, at 300° for about 30 minutes.
