Slow Cooked Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 (14 1/2 ounce) cans diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 6 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh marjoram or 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh basil or 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh oregano or 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • hot cooked spaghetti

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker. stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste, broth, brown sugar and seasonings; mix well. cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until bubbly. discard bay leaf. serve over spaghetti.
