The Perfect Simplified Sushi Vinegar

ingredients

  • servings: 2
  • 2 cups rice vinegar (such as marukan®)
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons salt
  • 1/8 lemon, juiced

    preparation time: 5 mins cook time: 10 mins ready time: 15 mins

  • stir the rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and lemon juice together in a saucepan until the sugar and salt have dissolved; bring the mixture almost to a simmer over low heat, but not allow to boil. remove from heat and allow to cool completely. store in refrigerator.
