Qishr - Yemeni Ginger Coffee

Total Time: 12 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold water
  • 6 teaspoons medium roast ground coffee
  • 6 teaspoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

Recipe

  • 1 place water in a long handled arabic coffee pot, or a small saucepan.
  • 2 add remaining ingredients.
  • 3 over medium heat bring this mixture to a boil. remove from heat until the bubbles disappear. return to boiling.
  • 4 repeat this process 3 times. pour into cups & serve hot.
