Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1 cup chopped nuts
Recipe
- 1 butter the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan.
- 2 melt 1 stick butter in a saucepan.
- 3 remove from heat and add sugar and blend.
- 4 add eggs, one at a time, beating well.
- 5 stir in vanilla, flour and baking powder.
- 6 mix thoroughly.
- 7 add nuts and stir lightly.
- 8 pour into pan.
- 9 bake at 350f for about 30 minutes.
- 10 do not overbake.
- 11 cool in pan and cut into bars.
