Sheona's Easy Hamburger Potato Hash

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 6 tablespoons brown gravy mix (enough to make two cups gravy)
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 1/2 lbs potatoes, quartered and then sliced into 1/4 in slices (any potatoes will work, the best tasting ones are red potatoes.)
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in large lidded frying pan heat oil, add potatoes and cover stirring occasionally until the potatoes are done.
  • 2 meanwhile in a medium size pot, cook your hamburger, onion, and garlic, until hamburger is no longer pink, breaking up large chunks.
  • 3 drain meat if necessary and return to pot.
  • 4 sprinkle gravy mix into the meat and onions stir well to coat meat.
  • 5 add water and stir.
  • 6 add potatoes to the pot and stir well.
  • 7 let cool for five to ten minutes and serve.
