Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 16
  • 6 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 lb butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup sour cream

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
  • 2 grease and flour a 9x13x2-inch baking pan.
  • 3 for topping, mix brown sugar and pecans; set aside.
  • 4 for cake, cream butter and sugar together.
  • 5 add eggs and vanilla.
  • 6 beat well.
  • 7 mix flour and baking powder together and add to mixture.
  • 8 add sour cream and mix well.
  • 9 pour half the batter into prepared pan.
  • 10 top with half the topping mixture.
  • 11 pour remaining batter into pan and top with remaining topping.
  • 12 bake for 1 hour.
  • 13 remove from oven and cool in pan.
  • 14 cake can be removed from pan in 10-15 minutes if desired.
