Ingredients

- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1 dash salt
- 2 teaspoons splenda brown sugar blend
- 1 tablespoon chopped dates
- 1 tablespoon chopped toasted walnuts
- 1 tablespoon skim milk (for creamier oatmeal, substitute skim milk for water, proceed as directed)
Recipe
- 1 bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- 2 stir in oats and salt.
- 3 cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat 5 minutes.
- 4 sprinkle 2 teaspoons splenda® brand brown sugar blend, 1 tablespoon chopped dates, and 1 tablespoon chopped toasted walnuts over hot cooked oatmeal.
- 5 drizzle with 1 tablespoon skim milk.
- 6 microwave directions.
- 7 combine water, oats, and salt in a microwave-safe bowl.
- 8 cover tightly with heavy-duty plastic wrap; fold back a small edge to allow steam to escape.
- 9 microwave on high 2 1/2 to 3 minutes; stir before serving.
