Splenda Walnut Date Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 dash salt
  • 2 teaspoons splenda brown sugar blend
  • 1 tablespoon chopped dates
  • 1 tablespoon chopped toasted walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon skim milk (for creamier oatmeal, substitute skim milk for water, proceed as directed)

Recipe

  • 1 bring water to a boil in a small saucepan.
  • 2 stir in oats and salt.
  • 3 cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat 5 minutes.
  • 4 sprinkle 2 teaspoons splenda® brand brown sugar blend, 1 tablespoon chopped dates, and 1 tablespoon chopped toasted walnuts over hot cooked oatmeal.
  • 5 drizzle with 1 tablespoon skim milk.
  • 6 microwave directions.
  • 7 combine water, oats, and salt in a microwave-safe bowl.
  • 8 cover tightly with heavy-duty plastic wrap; fold back a small edge to allow steam to escape.
  • 9 microwave on high 2 1/2 to 3 minutes; stir before serving.
