Seared Flank Steak

Ingredients

- 1 pinch coarse sea salt
- 1 1/2 lbs flank steaks
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, to taste
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar, to taste
Recipe
- 1 put a cast iron skillet on high heat. sprinkle coarse sea salt in the skillet. let the skillet heat up until the salt starts popping.
- 2 put in the flank steak and sear for about 2 minutes, until it does not stick to the skillet anymore. turn over and sear for another 2 minutes. then, flip the steak every minute or so and continue searing until desired doneness is reached.
- 3 remove steak from skillet, cover with a piece of aluminum foil, and let stand for 5 minutes.
- 4 cut steak in strips or bite size pieces and season with salt, olive oil and a dash of balsamic vinegar. serve.
