Skillet Chicken N Gravy

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless & skinless
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 tablespoon dried celery flakes
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon rubbed sage
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 2 (1 ounce) packages chicken gravy mix
- 2 cups cold water
Recipe
- 1 cut each breast in half.
- 2 melt butter in heavy skillet.
- 3 add onions, peppers & celery to the skillet.
- 4 saute on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- 5 add chicken pieces to the skillet.
- 6 season with salt, pepper, sage & poultry seasoning.
- 7 depending on the thickness of your breasts, you will want to saute the chicken for about 5 to 10 minutes on each side.
- 8 whisk 2 cups cold water with the 2 packages of chicken gravy mix until smooth.
- 9 add gravy mixture to the skillet when the chicken is half done.
- 10 bring to a fast boil over medium high heat.
- 11 reduce heat and simmer until chicken is done and gravy is desired thickness.
- 12 serve with parsley rice.
