Red Onion Confit

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 1
  • 1 large red onion
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons marsala wine

Recipe

  • 1 slice the onion very thin and evenly.
  • 2 a mandolin is perfect for this.
  • 3 sweat the onions in olive oil on low till very soft.
  • 4 add the red wine vinegar and marsala.
  • 5 simmer till all the liquid has reduced.
