Sliced Orange Rice

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 3 medium sized oranges, peeled and thinly sliced
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 medium sized onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 1/2 cups long-grain basmati rice
- 3 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Recipe
- 1 melt butter in a pan.
- 2 stir-fry garlic and onion in it on medium heat for 10 minutes.
- 3 add rice and stir-fry for a minute.
- 4 stir in the remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- 5 cover and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes.
- 6 fluff with a fork then turn off heat and re-cover and cook in its own steam for 30 minutes.
- 7 place on a serving platter lined with sliced oranges.
- 8 serve warm and enjoy!
