marco polo peanut cookies
Ingredients
- Servings: 2
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup bran flakes cereal
- 3/4 cup raw spanish peanuts
Recipe
- sift together flour, baking powder and salt. cream sugars, shortening and egg.
- add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with milk. stir in bran flakes and peanuts. mix well.
- drop by teaspoonfuls greased baking sheet. bake at 375 degrees f (190 degrees c) for 10-12 minutes until lightly brown. store in airtight container.
