marco polo peanut cookies

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup bran flakes cereal
  • 3/4 cup raw spanish peanuts

Recipe

  • sift together flour, baking powder and salt. cream sugars, shortening and egg.
  • add sifted dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with milk. stir in bran flakes and peanuts. mix well.
  • drop by teaspoonfuls greased baking sheet. bake at 375 degrees f (190 degrees c) for 10-12 minutes until lightly brown. store in airtight container.
