Seashells' Dutch Meatloaf

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or 1 cup butter flavored cracker, crumb fine
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato sauce, divided
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • hot cooked noodles
  • parsley

Recipe

  • 1 combine beef, bread crumbs, onion, salt, pepper, and 1/2 cup tomato sauce.
  • 2 press into a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
  • 3 combine 1 cup tomato sauce, water, mustard, vinegar and brown sugar; blend well.
  • 4 pour half of sauce over loaf.
  • 5 bake at 350 f for one hour.
  • 6 unmold loaf and place on noodles.
  • 7 heat remaining sauce and spoon over meat loaf.
  • 8 garnish with parsley.
