Ingredients
- Servings: 5
- 1 1/2 lbs chuck or 1 1/2 lbs beef
- 6 medium potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup beer
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
Recipe
- 1 cut meat into 1/4 inch thick slices and pound slightly.
- 2 cut potatoes in thick slices.
- 3 heat butter, saute onion and brown meat on all sides.
- 4 place in layers with other ingredients in a casserole.
- 5 pour water into frying pan. stir and add liquid to casserole. add beer.
- 6 cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour until meat is tender. sprinkle with chopped parsley.
