Smoky Barbecue Beans

Total Time: 2 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 2 hrs

Ingredients

  • 2 (15 ounce) cans low-sodium pinto beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 (15 ounce) can low-sodium black beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 pinch cayenne
  • 3 slices turkey bacon, cooked until crisp

Recipe

  • 1 combine everything in a 5 or 6 quart slow cooker. cover and cook until onion is fork tender, 2 hours on high or 4 hours on low.
