Spicy Onions And Bratwurst

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 large onions, thinly sliced and separated
- 1 clove garlic, minced (or more if you really like garlic)
- 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 6 fresh bratwursts
- 6 hoagie rolls, split
Recipe
- 1 place oil in large frying pan and heat.
- 2 add all ingredients except brats and rolls.
- 3 saute over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes or until onions are soft and carmelized.
- 4 while onions are sauteing, bring water to boil and add bratwurst.
- 5 reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until bratwurst is firm and cooked.
- 6 drain.
- 7 can be eaten as is or broil or grill brats until browned.
- 8 pile on onions.
- 9 enjoy!
