- 1/2 cup chopped carrot
- 2 bay leaves

Recipe
- 1 combine all of the ingredients in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil.
- 2 continue to boil the mixture until it thickens and reduces to about ½ cup, about 45 minutes.
- 3 strain through a fine-mesh strainer and let cool.
- 4 use at room temperature. makes ½ cup.
