Shepherd's Pie !!!

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 800 g hamburger or 800 g beef mince
  • 1 1/2 finely chopped onions
  • 5 potatoes (enough to fill a large sauce pan)
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 garlic clove (minced)
  • 75 ml lea & perrins chili-garlic sauce
  • 250 g sliced mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups canned corn or 1 1/2 cups frozen corn
  • milk
  • butter

Recipe

  • 1 boil water in large saucepan and add the 1/2 onion and about a teaspoon of salt.
  • 2 add chopped potatoes and reduce heat.
  • 3 add hamburger or mince and garlic to frying pan and cook until almost all of the hamburger is browned.
  • 4 add the 1 onion and mushrooms and cook for 5 minutes on medium heat or until hamburger is fully cooked and mushrooms begin to shrink.
  • 5 drain excess grease from frying pan and add corn.
  • 6 add worcestershire sauce and chili & garlic sauce and keep heat on medium.

  • 8 remove potatoes, drain, and add milk, butter, and salt to taiste while mashing.
  • 9 add cheese to mash potatoes.
  • 10 ---------------------------------------------.
  • 11 add frying pan contents to a pyrex dish or any oven safe glass pan and top with mash potatoes.
  • 12 cook on 175°c or 350°f for 25-30 minutes or until potatoes are lightly browned.
