Ingredients

- 1 lb sea scallops, rinsed and pat dry
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
Recipe
- 1 heat the olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- 2 salt and pepper both sides of the scallops and place them in the pan. whatever you do, do not move the scallops at all until ready to flip.
- 3 sear the scallops on each side for 1.5 minutes, then remove from the pan and serve.
