Seared Scallops In Caper Brown Butter

Total Time: 8 mins Preparation Time: 2 mins Cook Time: 6 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 1 lb large scallop, trimmed of any tendons
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons capers

Recipe

  • 1 season the scallops lightly with pepper.
  • 2 heat 1 tablespoon of the butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until foamy.
  • 3 add the scallops to the hot butter and cook, turning, until lightly browned, about 2 minutes per side.
  • 4 add the capers and cook about 30 seconds.
  • 5 swirl in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and remove from heat.
  • 6 salt & pepper to taste.
  • 7 serve the scallops sauced with the caper butter.
  • 8 lemon wedges make a delicious garnish if you have them.
