Skillet Lunch

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb cubed lean beef
  • flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup sliced green pepper
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped onion

Recipe

  • 1 dredge meat with flour to which salt and pepper have been added.
  • 2 brown in shortening.
  • 3 when brown, push meat to one corner and add vegetables, keeping each separate.
  • 4 salt and pepper to taste.
  • 5 cover and steam over low heat for 30 minutes or until all ingredients are tender.
