Ski Slope Soup

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 lb bulk sausage
- 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can tomatoes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 quart water
- 1/8 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 cup potato, peeled and diced
Recipe
- 1 brown sausage and drain well.
- 2 combine all ingredients in a 4 quart saucepan or dutch oven.
- 3 cover and simmer for 1 hour.
- 4 add potatoes and cook another 20 minutes.
- 5 remove and discard bay leaves.
- 6 beat soup with an electric mixer until all ingredients are well shredded, about 3 minutes.
- 7 serve.
