Sugar Hill Inn's Raisin Scones

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 tablespoons butter, very cold, cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup raisins (or cranberries)
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 425.
  • 2 add dry ingredients into a food processor and pulse.
  • 3 add butter, and pulse 15 times.
  • 4 add raisins or cranberries.
  • 5 transfer mixture to a mixing bowl.
  • 6 add cream.
  • 7 mix with spatula.
  • 8 turnout onto parchment paper.
  • 9 lightly knead.
  • 10 to shape, press into a 9" round non-stick pan.
  • 11 remove dough from the mold and cut into 10 wedges.
  • 12 bake 12 - 15 minutes.
