Spiced Nuts

Total Time: 33 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 4 cups pecan halves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • fresh ground black pepper, a pinch
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dark brown sugar (heaping)
  • 1 tablespoon freshly chopped rosemary (heaping)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 place the pecans on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
  • 3 remove from the oven; season the pecans with the salt, pepper, cayenne, sugar, rosemary, butter, and olive oil.
  • 4 toss together until the pecans are thoroughly coated.
  • 5 return the pecans to the oven for another 2-3 minutes, until toasted and fragrant, but be careful not to overcook them.
